Cho Jin-woong played the role of Lee Man-jae, a man who went from being the ace of the barge business world to becoming a dead man after being falsely accused, and Kim Hee-ae played the role of Mrs. Shim, the best consultant in politics with a reputation for making a name for herself.

Lee Soo-kyung pursues Lee Man-jae’s whereabouts and says, “Lee Man-jae is alive.”She plays the main role of Gonghee, the channel operator, and boasts an unstoppable charm.

‘Deadman’ is the debut film of director Ha Jun-won, who co-wrote the screenplay for Bong Joon-ho’s film ‘The Monster’.

Director Ha Jun-won investigated the crimes of identity theft and ‘Baji Boss’ through meticulous reporting over a long period of five years. It depicts a story full of tension with repeated twists and turns based on the world.

On this day, Cho Jin-woong said, “I felt that it was a well-made story. The director did very thorough research for about 5 years. I wondered if such record-breaking events actually happened. “Not many people know this, but I thought this was a very scary place,” he said.

He continued, “So, as I carefully unraveled the thread of this story, I became aware that I should never touch such a dark place. I think the director did a good job of explaining that part through the characters. “It was a very attractive scenario,” he added.

Kim Hee-ae also showed affection for the character she played, Mrs. Shim, and explained, “It was a character I had never heard of.”

He continued, “It’s a political consultant role, and I thought it was a character that any actress would covet because she was such an attractive person. He said he was familiar with director Ha Jun-won because he co-wrote director Bong Joon-ho’s ‘Monster’, so he showed him the scenario. “While discussing who should play the character of Mrs. Shim, I heard that the character of Mrs. Shim was so difficult to match with Korean actors,” he said.

Also, “I Koreanized the character a little and created a character called Mrs. Shim, and this character was very mysterious and precious to me. “She was really happy,” he said.

Lee Soo-kyung also said, “Gong Hee-joo is a very persistent and hot woman. When I went to acting school, senior Kim Hee-ae was the person I told her I wanted to be like. And I was a fan of senior Cho Jin-woong ever since he appeared in the drama ‘Deep-Rooted Tree’, so I even collected photos of him. “It was so amazing that I was able to work with these two people,” he said proudly.

Cho Jin-woong expressed his surprise at the deep and dark world of ‘Baji Boss’ that he learned while filming ‘Deadman’, and Kim Hee-ae also said, ‘I was surprised to hear so many professional talks. Director Ha Jun-won said, “Everyone lives with responsibility for their own name, right? However, as we live, we come across many people who cannot take responsibility for their own names. “So, when a problem occurs and I see various incidents where the person who should be responsible for the problem is not responsible, I felt a sense of social issues as a director and writer, and I thought it would be good to cover it in a story.”

Also, “Pants boss”is a familiar word, but it is also a subject that is not often seen in movies, so I thought I could make it interesting, and it took 5 years to cover such a large amount of data. “My first work is a crime movie, and I tried to make a fun movie that everyone can enjoy,” he said, asking for interest in the movie.

‘Deadman’ will be released on February 7th.
