The movie ‘Aliens + Humans Part 2′ barely surpassed the 1 million mark by mobilizing 270,000 viewers in its second weekend. Despite being number one at the box office for 12 consecutive days, the number of viewers for the first part (approximately 1.54 million) is expected to be low due to its low performance.

According to the Korean Film Council on the 22nd, ‘Alien + Humans Part 2′ (Director Choi Dong-hoon) was visited by approximately 277,550 people from the 19th to the 21st, recording a cumulative audience of 1,092,880.

It topped the weekend box office for two consecutive weeks, but considering the high break-even point (approximately 7.3 million), the pace was much slower. It already seemed difficult to reach the break-even point in the first week of release, and there was no rebound in the second week. The key is whether or not to beat the record of Part 1, and even this seems difficult.

The ‘Alien + Human’ two-part series travels between the present and the Goryeo Dynasty 630 years ago, depicting the story of characters from the past and the future coming together to obtain a divine sword with special power. Kim Woo-bin, Kim Tae-ri, Ryu Jun-yeol, Yeom Jeong-ah, Jo Woo-jin, Kim Eui-seong, Lee Ha-nui, etc. appeared, and Jin Seon-gyu joined in the second part.

In addition, the weekend box office rankings are 2nd place ‘Wish’ (133,777 people, cumulative 1.21 million people), 3rd place ‘Spring in Seoul’ (91,065 people, 12.96 million people total), and 4th place ‘Into the World’ (6 17,838 viewers, 240,000 cumulative viewers), followed by 5th place ‘Noryang: Sea of Death’ (62,262 viewers, 4.5 million cumulative viewers).

The current real-time reservation rate ranking is as of 9:10 am, followed by ‘Citizen Deokhee’, ‘Wonka’, and ‘Alien+Human’ Part 2. In particular, as advance sales for the second part of ‘Alien + Humans’ plummeted to 10,000 units, it became difficult to expect any further rebound.
