[Daily Car Reporter Park Kyung-soo] Honda is considering a plan to build a new electric vehicle factory in Canada. If realized, it is expected to be Honda’s largest investment ever.
Reuters reported on the 8th that “Honda is considering investing $14 billion to establish an electric vehicle production plant in Canada.”
According to this report, Honda plans to produce new electric vehicle models in North America starting in 2026. However, Canada could become that production base.

Accordingly, attention is focused on which battery will be used in Honda’s new electric vehicle. This is because Honda plans to establish an electric vehicle battery factory in Ohio along with LG Energy Solutions.
In response, the Canadian government said, “Honda recognized the strengths of Canada’s excellent workforce and industry.”
