New Jeans, nominated in two categories at the U.S. ‘iHeartRadio Music Awards’, proving its powerful status

NewJeans was nominated for awards in two categories at the US ‘2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards (iHeartRadio Music Awards 2024)’.

According to this year’s award candidate list announced by the ‘iHeartRadio Music Awards’ on January 18 (local time), New Jeans won ‘Kpop Song of the Year’ and ‘K-Pop Best Song of the Year’. He was named ‘Best New Artist (K-Pop)’. At this year’s awards ceremony, a new K-pop category was established, proving the growing status of K-pop around the world.

The ‘iHeartRadio Music Awards’ is a music awards ceremony hosted by American online radio broadcaster iHeartRadio since 2014, and awards are given to the artists and songs most played on iHeartRadio stations and applications during the year. This year’s awards ceremony will be held in Los Angeles, USA on April 1.

New Genes’ ‘Super Shy’, which was nominated for ‘K-Pop Song of the Year’, is the title song of the second EP ‘Get Up’ released in July of last year, and was on the Billboard main song chart ‘Hot 100’ for 8 weeks. It stayed at the highest ranking of 48th, and was played more than 400 million times on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform.

New Jeans has been nominated for awards at prestigious American music awards ceremonies, including the ‘MTV Video Music Awards (MTV VMAs)’ and the ‘Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs)’ this year, and the ‘iHeartRadio Music Awards’ this year, showing their global influence. Proven. New Jeans previously won ‘Top Global K-pop Artist’ at the ‘2023 Billboard Music Awards’.
