Recently, a fraud case occurred in which a company that promoted hydrogen investment through YouTube, claiming that it could make a lot of money as a side job, did not settle the proceeds. The YouTube channel has 50,000 subscribers, and the video contains content from a person named ‘investment expert Kim Ho-jun’ recommending investment.

To date, there have been about 10 victims. In addition, a person named ‘investment expert Kim Ho-jun’ also claimed to be a victim. The person who appeared as ‘investment expert Kim Ho-jun’ was actor Park Jae-hyun, who explained that he was only acting after receiving a script.

Accordingly, Jaehyun Park posted a video on his YouTube channel with the message, “Kim Hojun, the person in the video, is not me.”

Jaehyun Park said, “In October of this year, I saw an advertisement for an actor to shoot a commercial for an expert role on the actor recruitment site Film Makers, contacted a filming company, and started filming the commercial according to the script. On the day of filming, I received a script and began filming as an actor, playing the role of an expert named Kim Ho-jun. Afterwards, he explained, “I never received the results and just forgot about it.”

“One day, I found out that the video I shot on YouTube was being edited and used as if it were real,” said Park Jae-hyun, “I thought it was a reference video to be used as an advertisement, but the result did not even include the phrase that the situation was staged. Since there was no such thing, I was treated as if I was Kim Ho-jun and that I was really an economic expert,’ he said.

Afterwards, the company tricked Jaehyun Park into asking for daily photos and opened a messenger service without his consent to conduct consultations. Jaehyun Park said, “I am an actor, and what the person in this video says is scripted, so it is not what an economic expert would say.”

Jaehyun Park said, “I started acting late. So each and every casting is very important. The appearance fee is 400,000 won, or 500,000 won if you receive a lot. It’s not about receiving a large amount of money. That’s why, even if we review the script, we think of it as a reference video and don’t film it thinking it’s for impersonation or other purposes. “I only think of it as a video for companies,” he added.

He also said, “The actors don’t know how the editing will be done,” and “I was in so much pain for a few days that I couldn’t not film the video.”

Lastly, “I’ll say it again, the person in the video of Kim Ho-jun, a hydrogen investment expert, is actor Park Jae-hyun, and the person named Kim Ho-jun is a fictional character. He repeatedly emphasized, “I am not an expert, but actor Park Jae-hyun.”
