Actress Shin Hye-sun shared her thoughts on the end of ‘Welcome to Samdali,’ which became another life-long film.

JTBC’s Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Welcome to Samdali’ (written by Kwon Hye-joo, directed by Cha Young-hoon, produced by MI and SLL), which ended on the 21st, is about the dragon-like Jo Sam-dal (played by Shin Hye-sun), who grew up in a stream at the foot of Hallasan Mountain, and one day kills everyone. This drama depicts the story of Cho Yong-pil (played by Ji Chang-wook), who cherished Gaecheon after losing his life and plummeting, and returning to his hometown to catch his breath. It drew a warm response, reaching a peak viewership rating of 12.4%.

And at the center of the ratings drive was Shin Hye-sun. In the play, he played the role of Jo Sam-dal, a photographer who lost his dream and fame overnight and returned to his hometown, arousing the sympathy of viewers with his realistic acting of a modern man and providing unprecedented immersion.

In particular, he captured the center of the play by not only acting with affectionate emotions toward Cho Yong-pil, but also eloquently expressing Samdal’s emotional changes according to the story, and giving a great performance in every episode with his extraordinary character digestion ability. In addition, he once again proved himself as a ‘trustworthy actor’ by drawing the character’s narrative in a persuasive and detailed manner through detailed expression and delicate control of speed and speed.

In this way, we are looking forward to Shin Hye-sun’s performance as Jo Sam-dal, who has once again renewed her life’s character and brought fun, emotion, and sympathy to viewers.

● Below is Shin Hye-sun’s Q&A Q. ‘Welcome to Samdali’ ended with its broadcast on the 21st. How do you feel after finishing the drama?

In hindsight, it seems like time passed so quickly. It seems like the last filming was just a while ago, but it’s already over and it will only remain as a memory.

Q. The perfect chemistry with the characters of Cho Yong-pil, Jo Jin-dal, Jo Hae-dal, and the members of the Five Eagle Brothers, Sang Sang-do, Wang Gyeong-tae, and Cha Eun-woo, provided another fun experience to watch. How was it working with the actors Ji Chang-wook, Shin Dong-mi, Kang Mina, Kang Young-seok, Lee Jae-won, and Bae Myung-jin who played each character? Everyone acted as if they were breathing to the point where I had to ask whether it was acting or not. Everyone was so energetic and happy that I felt like my energy rose when we were together. The relationships between the characters were very close and comfortable, so even though they were very shy, everyone was very comfortable from the first filming. Everyone brought such cheerful energy to the filming set that there was a time when I almost developed abs from laughing.

Q. Is there a most memorable scene or line in ‘Welcome to Samdali’?

In the scene where Yongpil criticizes Yongpil after finding out that he received a call from his ex-boyfriend, I remember the line where Samdal says, “I did that because I was embarrassed.” When he said that line, he felt like if he didn’t hold his nerve, she would burst into tears. It was a scene where you could clearly feel Samdal’s personality and situation at that time and his subtle relationship with Yongpil.

Q. How do you want Samdal’s story to progress after the last episode?

I hope that after marrying Yongpil, we can fight and quickly reconcile and live together just like we have been doing. Just like at the end of a storybook, ‘I lived happily ever after!’

Q. What kind of work do you think ‘Welcome to Samdali’ will be for actress Shin Hye-sun?

When I first received the script for ‘Welcome to Samdali’, it felt like a gift to me, who was mentally and physically exhausted. So, I started the project with the goal of ‘Let’s heal while playing Samdal.’ The filming set was always warm and fun, just like the script. I think ‘Welcome to Samdali’ will remain as a work that personally allowed me to take a breather.

Q. Lastly, is there anything you would like to say to the fans who have watched ‘Welcome to Samdal’ and loved ‘Jo Samdal’?

Thank you very much for enjoying ‘Welcome to Samdali’. Even though you run hard and live intensely without any time to catch your breath, I hope you find time to catch your breath at least once. I hope you are always healthy and happy. thank you
