[My Daily = Reporter Kwak Myeong-dong] Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin (65) was indicted on charges of firing a gun and killing a cinematographer on the set of the movie ‘Rust’.

According to Variety on the 19th (local time), a New Mexico grand jury issued a complaint indicting Baldwin on this day. Baldwin was finally indicted about two years and three months after the incident.

Previously, while Baldwin was practicing a scene where he shoots a prop pistol on a movie set in October 2021, the gun fired a live bullet, killing cinematographer Hurlina Hutchins.

Baldwin claimed that he was told on set that the gun had no ammunition during the incident and that he did not pull the trigger.

However, forensic expert Lucien Haag pointed out that the trigger had to be pulled or pressed sufficiently for the bullet to fire.

If convicted, Baldwin could face up to 18 months in prison.
