[OSEN=Reporter Yoo Soo-yeon] Expectations are rising for the performance of the powerful judges of ‘Build-up: Vocal Boy Group Survival’.

Judges Lee Seok-hoon, Baekho, Seo Eunkwang, Solar, Wendy, and Kim Jae-hwan of Mnet’s ‘Build Up: Vocal Boy Group Survival (hereinafter referred to as ‘Build Up’)’, which is scheduled to air for the first time on Friday, January 26, are among the 40 contestants. We plan to enhance the excitement of survival with no less passion.

‘Build Up’ is a vocal survival program where talented people who are confident in vocals and love vocals, regardless of genre, come together to become the best vocal boy group. On this meaningful journey, a lot of attention is being paid to ‘Build Up’, in which the entertainment industry’s top vocalists Lee Seok-hoon, Baekho, Seo Eunkwang, Solar, Wendy, and Kim Jae-hwan come together to form a vocal-specialized judging panel.

In particular, the diverse composition of the judges is interesting, from Lee Seok-hoon, who has been in charge of judging in numerous survival programs, to Red Velvet’s Wendy, who is taking on the role of judge for the first time. The keen insight of the veteran judges as well as the fresh evaluations of the new judges make it possible to expect a wide range of reviews.

First, Lee Seok-hoon appeared on and served as a judge on numerous Mnet survival programs, to the point where he was called an ‘Mnet civil servant’ among the judges. ‘Build-up’ also arouses curiosity by predicting Lee Seok-hoon’s sharp review.

Seo Eunkwang also shows signs of becoming a poisonous judge who keenly points out the mistakes of the contestants. Unlike the previous show where he showed off his friendly side and excellent production through the ‘super-large karaoke survival show ‘VS’, he is rumored to be trying to turn things around with cool-headed judgment in ‘Build Up’. In addition, Solar is a member of the 4-member girl group Mamamoo, and is expected to demonstrate the ability and empathy of each individual in the 4-member group through the optimized screening of ‘Build Up’, which aims to create a 4-member vocal boy group.

Meanwhile, we are also looking forward to the performance of new judges who are attempting their first judging through ‘build-up’. Baekho, who has not only solid vocal skills but also album production ability, predicted honest and constructive evaluation expressions, and Wendy, the main vocalist of Red Velvet, a ‘harmony restaurant’, presented a shy but sharp evaluation, citing ‘teamwork’ as an important evaluation point. Confession, I am looking forward to your new appearance.

Lastly, Kim Jae-hwan’s unexpected performance is also something to watch. Meanwhile, ’emotional vocalist’ Kim Jae-hwan, who has continued the lineage of talented ballad singers with such modifiers, is said to not only lift and drop the contestants with his outspoken judgement, but also played the role of mood maker on the filming set. Expectations are high that he will play the role of the licorice of the program with his unexpected charm of going back and forth between cold and hot baths.

The production team said, “As the judges are comprised of top vocalists in the entertainment industry, it is also noteworthy that the six judges – Lee Seok-hoon, Baekho, Seo Eunkwang, Solar, Wendy, and Kim Jae-hwan – are part of the diverse judging panel,” adding, “The journey of the 40 contestants toward the debut of the next-generation vocal boy group.” He encouraged people to watch the first broadcast, saying, “Please watch the performance of the judges who will serve as a guide.”

Meanwhile, ahead of the first broadcast of ‘Build Up’ on Friday, January 26, Mnet is releasing ‘Build Up 40 Voice Silhouettes’, which provides a glimpse into the outline of the program as well as the identities of the 40 participants. Organize broadcasts and find prospective viewers.
