‘Deadman’ is about a so-called barge business ace who makes money from his name and is falsely accused of embezzling 100 billion won. After writing and living as a ‘dead person’, it is a story about tracking down people who are intertwined with just one name to regain the life that was stolen.

Director Ha said, “The man who was falsely accused “It seems like a story about a linear process of finding the real culprit, but it is a story of three characters running like cogs, helping and betraying each other,” he explained. He then compared the characters by saying, “Lee Man-jae (Cho Jin-woong) is a player in the orchestra, Mrs. Shim (Kim Hee-ae) is the conductor who designed the performance, and Gong Hee-joo (Lee Soo-kyung) is the audience.”

Regarding the reason for using Boss Baji as the subject matter, Director Ha said, “Everyone has a name. As I live, I come across people who cannot take responsibility for their own names. As he watched people taking their place in the name of agents without taking responsibility, he felt a sense of social issues as a director and writer, and thought it would be fun to tell it through a popular story. Boss Baji is a familiar word, but it is a subject that is not often encountered in movies. The owner who sells the name Baji President said, “I thought it would be fun when it was associated with the topic of ‘name.’”

Cho Jin-woong played the role of Lee Man-jae, a man who went from being the ace of the barge business world to being falsely accused and becoming a ‘deadman’. Regarding his character, Cho Jin-woong said, “I was doing this and that for a living, but it didn’t work out, so I sold it and sold it, and now I’m selling my name. The name value is 5 million won. It was a hopeful money for me, but I ended up being accused of embezzling 100 billion won with that money. He explained, “Let’s do some research and then die, and it’s unfair, so we set out to find out.”

Cho Jin-woong expressed his feelings after reading the scenario, saying, “At first, I thought it was a well-made story.” He continued, “The director conducted thorough research for five years before making this movie. Many people don’t know if such a tragic event actually exists, but they might think it’s a scary place. I feel alert to never touch dark places. The director’s meticulousness is evident when designing the scenario. I think the characters explained the categories of the story well. “It was an attractive script,” he said.

Cho Jin-woong said, “The situation changes rapidly. He approached the situation with the mindset of giving 100%. There will be fear there and many other things. “I decided to expose it raw,” he explained. He then joked, saying, “To put it simply, I didn’t do it.”At the same time, he looked back on the filming, saying, “It was exciting and fun to express.”

Kim Hee-ae played the role of Mrs. Shim, a top political consultant with a reputation for making a name for herself.
