Jang Seo-hee, first movie in 6 years… ‘Single Friend’ to be released in November [Official]

The movie ‘Alone’ starring actress Jang Seo-hee has been confirmed to be released in November.

‘Alone Parent’ is a mystery reality horror psychological drama in which ‘Hye-young’, a mother who gives extreme love without knowing that she is poisonous, tracks down the death of her daughter ‘Yuri’ and encounters a shocking truth. This is a work in which the production team of ‘Ghost at Oksu Station’ came together and Jang Seo-hee transformed into a strong mother.

The launch poster for ‘Single Parent’ was posted on mobile, “It means a parent who is toxic to his or her children. It contains content searched for the meaning of “parents who ruin their children through excessive interference” and thus heightens expectations for the main story as much as the powerful title. In particular, a message from the mother appears above the meaning of ‘single friend’, making us guess at the relationship between mother and daughter, stimulating curiosity about the main story.

In her first screen comeback after 6 years, Jang Seo-hee takes on the role of Hye-yeong, who gives extreme love to her daughter, and plays the role of maternal love that is elegant but also strong and cool behind the scenes. The role of Jang Seo-hee and her daughter ‘Yuri’, who will play the role of strong mother and daughter, will be played by newcomer Kang An-na, who appeared in the Netflix series [House of Paper: Common Economic Zone], and will show off her fresh ensemble.

‘Doctor’ is the debut feature film of director Kim Soo-in, who won the Excellence Award at the Korean Film Screenplay Contest for the feature film ‘Wolchae’ in 2019, and has expanded his career by participating in scripts and adaptations of various feature films such as ‘Ghost at Oksu Station’. Received an official invitation to the 27th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival. Following Korea, it was officially invited to the 28th Aichi International Women’s Film Festival in Japan.

Previously, director Kim Soo-in, Jang Seo-hee, and Kang Anna attended the 28th Aichi International Women’s Film Festival in person and held a press conference on Thursday, September 14. At the press conference, director Kim Soo-in, Jang Seo-hee, and Kang Anna had a question-and-answer session under the media’s hot spotlight. Also, on Saturday, September 16th, I attended GV where I had a close encounter with the audience. The movie will be released domestically in November.
