‘Welcome to Samdali’ ended by delivering a warm message of life to out-of-breath city dwellers. The final episode’s viewership rating was 13.1% in the metropolitan area and 12.4% nationwide, its highest record (provided by Nielsen Korea, based on paying households).

Samdal (Shin Hye-seon)’s exhibition was successfully held with the help of all Samdalli people under the leadership of Yongpil (Ji Chang-wook). While the ‘jomnyeo (haenyeo) unit’ and Meteorological Administration employees were keeping reporters’ attention, Yongpil and Samdal secretly moved the photos to be displayed.

Meanwhile, the ‘five eagle brothers’ Gyeong-tae (Lee Jae-won), Eun-woo (Bae Myung-jin), Sang-do (Kang Young-seok), and Samdal’s assistants Eun-bi (Kim A-young) and Ji-eun (Lee Do-hye) rob Chung-gi (Han Eun-seong). It was just a ‘mudwood’ stabbing, but not only did he receive kickbacks, but he also exposed the true nature of Eun-ju (Cho Yoon-seo), who had lied. Samdal finally freed himself from the controversy over bullying his juniors and achieved his dream of “doing it as Jo Samdal” by opening the exhibition ‘People: My People and the Weather’.

With the encouragement and support of Samdal, Yongpil returned from a two-year deployment to the World Meteorological Organization in Switzerland, a dream he had had for a long time. Afterwards, he showed great success as a ‘bad’ forecaster who was still kicked out of every meeting at the Seoul headquarters. He also continued the romantic ‘history of partners’ with Samdal. He also came to Seoul with the ‘Five Eagle Brothers’ and achieved a dream he had never achieved before. Gyeong-tae, who wanted to be called “boss,” became the owner of a snack bar, and broke away from his original solo title by dating Eun-bi. Eun-woo eventually became a webtoon writer, and Sang-do opened the second Sang-do’s famous store in Gangnam, and each of them spent busy days.

Jindal (Shin Dong-mi), the eldest member of ‘3 Month Sisters’, succeeded in being reinstated and put on his airline uniform again. Her ex-husband and ‘current boyfriend’ Dae-young (Yang Kyeong-won) kicked out the group CEO, moved to an AS airline, and developed her love with Jindal. Her youngest sea otter (Kang Mina), who was a promising swimmer who reached the threshold of Taereung, followed the advice of Ji-chan (Kim Min-cheol) and became her female diver.

In this way, she swam the wide sea with Samchun, the Samdali female diver, while protecting her mother Mija (Kim Mi-kyung). The episode of Kim Tae-hee, who thanks Samdali for teaching her about human affection, donates 1 billion won and then disappears, turns out to be an Arab prince named Man-su (Seuzal), and even makes a special appearance to retrieve ‘Kim Tae-hee rice cake’, provided the last bit of fun.

In ‘Welcome to Samdali’, a variety of characters with diverse narratives appeared, enriching the play. The love story of Yong-pil and Sam-dal, clean partners with a long ‘history of partners’ of 38 years, was made more poignant through the ‘Story of Two Mijas’. Tae’s (Yoo Oh-seong) Ong and Mija’s guilt touched my heart. In ‘3 Moon Sisters’, Jindal developed a love for her ex-husband Daeyoung as much as a partner, and Haedal wrote her growth story with her adult daughter Hayul (Kim Do-eun). Gyeongtae, Eunwoo, and Sangdo, the ‘Five Eagle Brothers’ who protect Captain Samdal, also took flight to achieve their respective dreams.

Here, the warm affection of the female divers Samchun Geum-sul (Baek Hyun-joo), Jin-seong (Jeon Hye-ja), and the father and son (Kim Mi-hwa), who gathered in groups of two or three at the bulteok and chatted loudly, the rough and tumble daily life of the immature CEO Dae-yeong and his secretary Cheol-jong (Kang Gil-woo), and the story of dolphin protection. The story of Ji-chan (Kim Min-cheol), the CEO of Dolphin Center, who devoted his youth to a worthy cause, and the twisted story of Man-su, a part-timer at Lucky Convenience Store. Viewers were deeply immersed in the stories of each of these people, who were all protagonists, and cried and laughed along with the people of Samdali.

Samdal, who left the stream and dreamed of being a dragon soaring high in the sky, paradoxically realized that he was able to soar only because of the stream, only after returning to Samdal-ri. “How relieved it makes us to have a place to return to,” was the touching comfort that ‘Gaecheon’ provided.
